Here are most of the ingredients in our farm emergency kit (for two-legged creatures). We keep Band-Aids, gauze, ointments, etc. in a handy place elsewhere because those aren't really used in an emergency. The idea has evolved over time. If you see something we don't have and should, let me know! For most of the items, we have multiples.

Eye Wash (plastic bottle full of fluid that cups to your eye holding your eyelids open--you regulate the amount of wash by squeezing the bottle)

Face masks

Several bags full of clean washcloths and large white tea towels and some bright red duct tape for securing the towels.

More tape:

Also, some 70% rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and a bag of nitrile gloves in three different sizes.

And a refresher manual, granted there's time to look something up.

Thank you, MaryJane! I so appreciate you taking the time to take photos of your first aid farm kit.

Since I just finished up recertifying my first aid & CPR certification, I can think of one thing that you might want to add to your kit. What about adding a CPR face mask in case some one needed CPR? The masks make it easier to give CPR and it is cleaner in case the victim has gotten sick or something. Just my two cents worth and remembering some of the points brought out in my recent first aid class.

I really like the idea of the clotting sponge and cloth. That was NOT brought up in the first aid class but it sounds like a wise addition to a first aid kit.

Thanks again!
