Although we are getting rain today, it is beautiful with all the lush green grass and flowers. So, Estella was moved into the pasture with the other ladies and away from the steers. She is a gentle heifer and needs to start learning the routine.

What a Lovely sight Janet. So ironic, as today we moved cows to our other pasture, and we had much needed rain today. Not a good thing for the Cherry farmers right now, as they are just starting the harvest season.

If I can remember how to do it, I will take and post a picture of our cows in the new pasture. It it so tall you can barely see them, especially Lacy. LOL

Speaking of greener pastures, Janet, here is an aerial picture of our new place in Washington. I look at this picture daily!

That is our house, shop and barn. The hay field to the top, and then there is another small hay field, a large pasture by the barn and then there is a lower pasture that is under water in this picture. When the river rises it floods that pasture and that is how it is water except for rain. We have about 1/4 mile of beach past that when the river is down.

So anxious to get there!!!

Good morning Darla! What a beautiful landscape, I can see why you would be anxious to get there. Just breathtaking! Thank you for sharing. I'm so happy and excited for you and your family, (and cows). What a grand adventure ahead. And a 1/4 mile of beach too. Hope to hear and see more of your new location and life there. Thank you!

Greener pastures indeed. Happy to hear Estella is gentle and ready for parlor training. Our newest, little Rosetta is still running wild; I haven't had time to get a halter on her. After a month of hair-on-fire work, I've moved into the pants-on-fire phase (slightly less crazy). Once I get our taxes for several different entities sent off and things like depreciation schedules updated, life might be somewhat normal again. Phew.

Darla, your new place is SPECTACULAR!!! Wow is all I can say. You did good to find such a paradise. And a beach to boot.
