Hoping MaryJane is enjoying her much deserved break and loving on her cows! This morning I was loving on Miss BlueBelle. I also was trying to get a picture of her ... almost impossible when all BlueBelle wants is to get scratched and loved on!
But this is what I got:
She’s just a perfect size and her temperament is the sweetest of all my cows.
Darla, you were asking about cream and butter making. I have had some cream once in a while never whip into butter. Not sure why. But now I keep my cream cold and whip it into butter in my Vitamix. Makes butter within a minute or two, no joke. But if it’s too warm, it won’t turn.
Off to make soap this morning and dream of Jersey milk and cream. Looking forward to fresh milk again this summer.

Looks like you are getting some sunshine in your neck of the woods. We have a hot spell coming over the weekend. Almost 90 on Sunday. Cold then hot, then ?
