It's the iced tea month. Garden is coming on, sprinklers are a never-ending chore, bees are gathering oregano nectar, and cows have limited pasture. Plus, it's hot, 95 degrees today. 86 at my desk. Nick ate our first red tomato today. Cucumbers grow from cute and small to whoppin' whoppers in the span of a night, I swear. Corn is looking promising any day now. Watermelons and cantaloupe and pumpkin are taking shape. B&B guests coming every week from now until Sept.

Carol is leaving for Florida to help her 92 year-old mother navigate some health issues. While she's there this time, she's going to a horse farm that raises Gypsy Vanner horses. I'd never heard of them before, but man, are they gorgeous. Stunning creatures.

Speaking of creatures, I took all four grand girls on Sunday to see the new Lion King movie in which animation is used to make real-life animals. It's so well done, it's like they gave acting lessons to real animals. Adorable movie for sure.

Good morning! I've never heard of Gypsy Vanner horses. Beautiful. You could spend all day combing and grooming that horse on a daily basis. Whew. Quiet here on the home front. Usual goings on, garden, milking, chores, and yes watering. Things are still looking good but I would welcome a rain. Temps are in the 80's so they are comfortable. I'll have to jot that down and try and get a chance to see the new Lion King. Ate my first home raised fig and loved it. So three fig trees ought to keep me in supply.
