Miss Persimmon ~ 3.5 year old 41" miniature Jersey bred heifer.

Bred with MJF Tumbleweed Samson Butters (polled, A2/A2). More info on him: https://heritagejersey.org/chatroom/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=476.

Bred on Oct. 27th by AI (took the first time), pregnancy confirmed by blood test taken by our vet.

She is registered with HJO, polled, A1/A1. Healthy and easy keeper.

She will come with 4 extra straws of Samson's semen for future breedings. Buyer to arrange shipping to new storage location. They are currently stored at a livestock service storage facility in Michigan.

Only thing she is due for is a hoof trim, as I've had no luck yet finding a trimmer in our area.

Reason for selling is due to a lack of pasture space to properly keep her.

Asking $2000. Located in Michigan.

She will make someone a great family milk cow! Any questions let me know :)

Again, such welcome news. But do stay in touch Andrea. We'd love to hear from you once in a while.

Don't you love happy endings and when things all work out? Congratulations Andrea.

Thanks everyone!
I showed them the MCK book when they came to pick her up, and they've already ordered a copy of their own :) I also told them about HJO and all of the help that is available if they have questions. Just talked to them today, and sounds like her first week has gone great. Their vet gave her a check up already (she's doing wonderfully in her pregnancy!) and her hooves are getting trimmed this week, which I'm so happy to hear. They need some TLC! So sad to see her go, but I think they'll be the perfect fit for her as she becomes a momma, and milking begins :)

Wonderful news, Andrea. Don't be a stranger now that you're no longer a cow mom.

Happy Miss Percy found a new home!

Thanks guys :) Percy's new family came and picked her up last night. Was a bittersweet moment seeing her pull out of the driveway. She loaded pretty well, and wasn't too stressful an ordeal overall. So thankful. The family that bought her seems so sweet and I know she'll be in good hands. :)

Her tail is so long. It is very pretty.

Thanks Cindy :) It's been a tough decision but at the same time I feel relieved knowing she will be going somewhere with more room to roam and hopefully some pasture mates that she enjoys more...she does well with the sheep but I know she'd be so much happier with some bovine friends ;)
