Happy may thy Christmas be!!!!

Looks like we're going to get a white Christmas--it's really coming down. My barn wreath is starting to hold onto the flakes, great big white ones.

Thank you MaryJane. Yes, taking it easy and doing little odd jobs today. I'm cleaning up my falconry equipment. Need to make some new jesses, cleaned my leather gauntlet with neats foot oil, polished his brass bell. Mr. and Mrs Muckmilker sounds familiar around here, but I'm the mucker too. So I'm probably Mrs MuckyMuckMilker. Sun is shining and it's warmed up a bit. 31 degrees currently. Wind is horrendous but then maybe that will bring us more warm temperatures from the south. 26th in Feb. for you, right. Well, I had better stir up some lunch of some sort. Have a pleasant day.

Happy 27th Anniversary Mrs. and Mr. Janet/Joe!!!! Make sure you have a relaxing, memorable day and take time to reminisce. How about all the wonderful meals you've shared together? Think Pandowdy and Bara Brith. Anyway, have a happy orchid-like day today.

Nick and I are right behind you. This year will mark our 26th together year. Lately, he's been calling me Mrs. Milker and I've been calling him Mr. Mucker. Together we refer to ourselves as Mr. and Mrs. MuckMilker.

On this cold day I'm watching Orchid shows and hoping I can go to the Orchid Fest at Reiman Gardens in Feb. Helps pass the time until spring weather arrives, which will be down the road a way.

I watched H is for Hawk also. Fantastic. I thought of you.

Great photos MaryJane! Jasper looks to be the devoted companion. Ryo looks like a professional mini-chef, how adorable. I haven't watched Father Brown. Just watched H is for Hawk on PBS, which I enjoyed. Brings back so many memories. I'll have to look in on the Father Brown series. If this cold keeps up, I'll have some time to fill.

Our sweet little Jasper, who my husband adores, thinks he should get tractor driving lessons. As soon as it's turn off, he curls up on the warm hood.

Our grand son in Japan helping with dinner.

Does anyone else watch the BBC series, Father Brown?

It snowed again here last night. We have several inches thus far. Lots of shoveling and plowing.

I thought Ester Lily was re-homed, remembered M'lady was, but unless I get my journals out then I forget. And this past year, I've lost track of everyone's cows. Too hard to keep track of the ones that are pregnant, the delivery dates, so I pretty much keep track of my own now. And I'm not always sure about them. So I hear you.
maryjane Posted - Dec 27 2018 : 07:30:15 AM
The minute I posted, I thought I'd better go back to update what I said because I can barely keep track of my own cows let alone everyone else's, but I was called away. Sophie, M'lady, and Ester Lily were re-homed to Montana and I was sent the photos as a holiday greeting from them. So the turkeys live in Montana also. But Ashley and Brian have their new turkey barn built, wired, and ready to go for baby turkeys arriving in the spring. So yeah, you'll be seeing their turkeys soon enough.

I am off to milk! Yesterday, Miss Daisy said, "Fill 'er up."

You know what I love about snow on the ground? I don't have to wash their hooves before they come into the parlor. Their feet have already been cleaned off by the snow.

Sophie and Ester Lily look the part. I'd say they did pretty good, kept them on so you could get the picture taken. Is that a couple of Brian and Ashley's turkeys in the background I see? Have a good day MaryJane! Enjoy all them critters.

Your orchids are the color of my sunrise. Yes, makes one happy.

Notice my cows lined up wondering when I'm coming to feed them? Patience my dears.

Photo of little Sophie all growed up (and looking exactly like her mother M'lady). And Ester Lily (not cooperating with the cow in the hat thing).

Good morning everyone! I was greeted with two smiling faces this morning. Another of my cattleyas orchids bloomed. Makes my day! It will be a great day for reading or sewing as the weather has changed from 40's to rain and wind and cooler temps. Enjoy your day!
NellieBelle Posted - Dec 24 2018 : 12:29:37 PM
Greetings all! Sledding would be hard going here MaryJane. Yesterday we were in the 40's and sunshine. Perfect day for December. Today a bit different with 29 degrees and overcast. No snow here. So cuddle up, hunker down and enjoy the snow! Your snow looks beautiful, pretty the way it's hugging the fence and everything is dusted white. May you all enjoy your family and friends, health and happiness to all!

Just in time for Christmas; not sure what my cows think, but we're lovin' several inches of our first real snowfall. Timing couldn't be more perfect. The girls have already been out sledding on the biggest hill they could find.
