Well, today was the start of the first week of school for my grand girls (even though I'm late starting the week off).

Stella & Mia. You can see our farm in the background.

And Adria and Alina in their garden. This was Alina's first day attending school all day.

They were super excited this morning and said they loved their new teachers at the end of the day (always a toss-up). Stella said, "I LOVE mine, she even dances in the classroom."

I scheduled a hoof trim for Ian for mid-Sept. We do all our hoof trims here now except for our bullish bull. Besides, I have to get him his annual trich test--easiest done in strict confinement!

We got a good rain this past weekend. Mighty lovely to quit watering for a few days and to know everything got a good drink. It's sunny and warmer today, but the rain cleared the air somewhat.

Good morning!

Darla, is this your "baby's" last year at home? Good thing you have your other bovine babies to dote over.

Well, Cindy and family (and her parents) are probably on their way to Houston by now. Another day, not yet, canceled, delayed, just might, maybe, PLEASE! turn into TOMORROW!!!!! Cindy, you get the award for patience and perseverance.

Keeley, get ready for bleacher butt. We had cross-country kids, wrestlers, and one cheerleader. I didn't go to a game for twenty years afterward. But now we have our grand girls games.

September 1st, really???

Where does the time go?

MaryJane, your grandgirls are so mature and knowledgeable for their young ages, it just amazes me. They are most definitely beautiful young ladies.

Speaking of beautiful young ladies Cindy, your girls are truly that!! So nice that you can finally share pictures of them. I think all of us on here have been holding our breath and waiting to do a big exhale for your happy day. Fingers crossed for Tuesday. XX

Well, our baby/youngest turns 18 tomorrow. Seems like just yesterday that he was a babe in arms.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend if you are on the road.
Blessings to All

It's hard to believe another school year has come around again. My son is running in his first cross country meet this afternoon. . .and so the spectating begins. It has been noticeably cooler here for August with more moisture than usual. Definitely feels like fall already. Enjoy your day, whatever it holds!

Great way to start the day! Seeing all the girls starting their first day of school. Love it! And it is wonderful that the girls all like their teachers. I have a few photos from years ago of our first days of school. Seems like a millennium ago. Yes, and quite thankful for the rain. We received another half inch after the 4 inches so things have really greened up. Mowing once again. Yes, a gorgeous day for the Memorial ride. Flowers getting another burst of bloom. Put some Bantam eggs in incubator. Attic still under construction. Waiting for Darla to come in heat, and for autumn to give me and the honey bees respite. The bees have taken to the Resource hive so keeping hopeful. May your day be a good one!
