So You Are Welcome.

How cool is THAT! You just made my day, Darla. I shared with Ashley also. We especially loved that she wore the back cover off.

MaryJane,

Don't know if you remember or not, but for quite awhile I carried MKC with me as my go to read while Becky was in violin practices and so on. My nose is still in it quite often.

I don't know if you have heard of this "Homesteading Family" on YouTube or not, but this is the 3rd video in which Milk Cow Kitchen is mentioned. Their names are Josh and Carolyn, they are up in Bonner's Ferry. He is so funny when it comes to MKC. If you don't want to watch the whole video, jump to 26:00 on the timer.

Hope you get a kick out of it. Check out Carolyn's back cover on her book

That's my favorite part too, Charlene! It is just so informational!

So, I'd like to know which part of MaryJane's book is everyone's favorite part or section. Which part really grabbed your attention when you first read it?

When I very first read it, the "how to milk" really stood out for me. It was probably because it was still a mystery for me as we had never milked any cows on our mini-farm. The other thing that also really struck me were the stunning pictures throughout the book ... photographs of the actual process whether it be cooking, milking, cleaning up poo, etc.

Your favorites?

Does this mean you just have to come back to visit Idaho for a third time? You know that the third time is the charm! And, when you do get an autographed copy of the book, ask for it personalized ... For Sally O'Malley, of course! :-)

I am enjoying having two copies ... one for my kitchen and one for reading at night.

charlene can you believe i have been to idaho and back TWICE this year and didn't get my book autographed by the miss mary jane! how silly is that? it just never occurred to me at the time. i guess i'll have to follow your lead and get another book or two straight from the source, autographed of course!

How about giving Brian a call today, 882-6819. I'll include a mag back issue:)

I cannot believe this, but I'd actually like to order another copy of your book, MaryJane. I definitely need one on my cookbook shelf and I still want my copy by my reading chair. Let me know the best way to go about getting a second copy. Thank you!

CloversMum Posted - Sep 16 2015 : 11:57:11 AM
Thanks, MaryJane. I'll get my own copy back now!

When I see Ethan today or tomorrow, I will remember to give him a book. Thanks Charlene!!

I still need a second copy, please, MaryJane. Ethan has taken over my previous signed copy. :-) He is amazed at all the great info he keeps discovering in your book. And I'm afraid I will not get it back.

It is beautiful and full of information ... the best kind of book.

Mary Jane, I ordered your book, today and I also made a special request with my Milk Cow Kitchen order. I was hoping that maybe you could autograph a copy of your, "Moo-n Over Main Street Metropolis" book, for my granddaughter, Kendall. If you can, that's great. If not, that's fine too!

Just ordered mine, today. I'm looking forward to the Swiss Cheese recipe (and more) as well as how to use a regular refrigerator to age cheese! This should be wonderful. I can't wait!

I am rather fond of Ethan :-) I hope he is working very hard for you. He sure enjoys your cows, though! Sending one home with him tomorrow would be great. Thank you. Then he'll have a copy and I will have one as well. :-)

Where do we order another copy, MaryJane? I'd love a second copy ...

I'm not MaryJane either, but you can't go wrong with her book. Like Charlene said, MaryJane has a Swiss cheese recipe in her book along with many other cheese recipes. I've made the swiss cheese from her recipe in her book and we love it. The book is informative and instructional and easy to follow recipes. I wouldn't be without it, or two or three. :)
