Posted - Sep 16 2014 : 05:34:28 AM Not sure if the email is working on the site. Had a user try to sen me one by using the link in the member profile and it did not work. I have tried it a couple times and seems to be unsuccessful . Thank you. |

Either way, I'll include here some info about Gmail that I think may be causing some problems -- changes that Gmail made somewhat recently to how their email works:
Make sure to check the spam filter in Gmail. Make sure none of the emails are ending up there. --> You have to click on "More" in the left column, then Spam. (It'll have a number next to it, most likely, showing how many unread emails it contains currently.) If you don't find them there, then next make sure to check that the emails aren't getting lost in Gmail's new categories system. This threw me off when I first had to look at it. Gmail will automatically tag and sort your emails into certain categories; but it doesn't automatically display *all* emails from *all* categories. In my test account, it only displays "Primary" by default. --> There's a "Social" category, and a "Forums" category, if you look at the top, to the right of the "Compose" button (approximately). Click "Forums" and "Social" and all those tabs to make sure you don't see the emails in any of those groups. --> You can also click on "More" in the left sidebar, and then "All Mail" to sidestep those tab groupings. See if you see the emails in that list. --> Also, please add webmaster@heritagejersey.org to your contacts. (I think that's all Gmail needs in order to approve somebody and ensure their emails get through.) |

Let's see what we see. It sounds like you're not receiving emails -- emails that someone else is trying to send to you. If I might ask, who is that other user, so I might find out what they're seeing?
Did you ever receive the email/message that I sent a while ago about the photos? I sent that through this chatroom.
I'm also going to send you two messages from here, one as a non-administrative user, and the other using this account.
Please let me know whether you received each of the 3 emails.
You may have to check in the spam folder and/or check any sorting methods your email account may use (to make sure the emails aren't being hidden somewhere like the "social" or "forum" groups in Gmail). The emails will come from webmaster@heritagejersey.org , so please also make sure that email address is approved in order to avoid the messages getting blocked or put into spam.
