December is here! And our 13 yo son has decided that this is the year to decorate our farm with all the Christmas lights!

And my grand boys helped me decorate our tree ... remember the saying “birds of a feather flock together”? Well, they certainly do on my Christmas tree this year!

In the past, I would have rearranged those birds after my grand boys left. But this is perfection to me and those ornaments will stay just that way!

BlueBelle is being a good girl and no signs of any heat cycles or miscarriages (like last time) so my fingers are crossed that she’s still pregnant.

December is flying by!

Christmas lights installation continues. It gets dark so fast after school that our son wore a headlamp to continue his decor!

The bottom is the installation process and the top is part of the fence that is now adorned. It’s been fun to watch him create!

I like the name Flora so much so that one of my best goats is named Flora! So many flower names around here! I’d be so happy with a little heifer calf ... just need a field flower name. We may end up with a Buttercup over here too.

One of my biggest joys is watching my goats run across our pasture. So much room, so much joy, and freedom.

Love it.

That is so precious, Charlene. I have the best memories of my kids when young and their fascination with Christmas tree ornaments. With grandkids, you get to experience it all a second time.

One of my kids would ask me throughout the year if I'd let him "play" with our holiday ornaments. I'd bring out the boxes (like in August) and he'd spend hours spreading them around on the floor organizing them and drawing them and pretending with them. We had one ornament that was an old-fashioned red-rider sleigh. He pretended with that thing for hours.

I hope to see your beautiful porch all lit up the next time I'm out and about at night. We need to get our lights up also.

Good news about BlueBelle.

Training with Buttercup continues. I thought of another name to use in keeping with a flower theme (if lucky enough to get a heifer). Flora. It was listed as one of the top ten popular names in the 20s and 30s. I had an aunt named Flora. Clover, BlueBelle, and ??????
